Consultation

Your First Visit

You will be greeted on the phone by our receptionist or by one of my patient coordinators when you call to inquire or schedule your first appointment with us. The ladies in my office are very caring and extremely knowledgeable, and they will make every attempt to answer your questions. An information packet regarding the procedures you are interested in, will then be mailed to you along with the necessary medical history forms for you to fill out or you may download from this site, to complete in the privacy of your home.

Cosmetic consultations with Dr. Miller are complimentary. If the surgery you are interested in is covered under your insurance it will be subject to your policy. Once your consultation is scheduled, we will call to confirm your appointment time a few days before. We encourage you to bring a family member or the person that will be taking care of you (after your surgery) to listen for you.

You will meet with Dr. Miller for your consultation and recommend the options that best suit your needs to achieve your desired result.

You will also meet with the Surgery Coordinator, she will discuss procedure costs including Dr. Miller’s surgical fee, the facility and anesthesia fees. She will also discuss financing options and available surgery dates that may be convenient for you. You may schedule your procedure the day of your consultation.

A surgery scheduling fee or deposit is required for surgery booking. The scheduling fee will be applied to Dr. Miller’s surgical fee. The remaining balance is required in full 2 weeks prior to surgery when you return to the office for your pre-operative visit.

After your surgery date is made, Dr. Miller will have you return to the office for a Preoperative visit 10-14 days before your surgery. At this visit, an in depth history and physical examination will be done. You will also be given specific instructions to follow after your surgery. And your postoperative visits will be scheduled at this time.

We understand on occasion life rearranges our plans and if you are unable to make your appointment please call us as soon as possible in order that we may make appropriate arrangements with you to meet your needs.

Dr. Miller enlists your compliance for your healing to insure optimal healing and results. Nicotine and Caffeine usage will significantly impair the healing process. You will be instructed to stop all Nicotine and Caffeine (coffee, tea, and chocolate) 2 weeks before your surgery until 2-4 weeks after your surgery.

Patients wishing to have breast surgery will need a base line screening mammogram before surgery.

If you take any type of blood thinning medication (i.e., Aspirin, Plavix, Coumadin, heart stents), You will need to stop before your surgery to prevent undesired bleeding. Dr. Miller will instruct you when you should stop these medications.
