Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty) Procedures Details
Eyelid lift cosmetic surgery is performed under local anesthesia. For the upper eyelid, Dr. Miller makes incisions that follow the natural lines of your eyelids, extending slightly into your laugh lines or other existing creases. Dr. Miller will generally conceal the incision within the natural fold of your upper eyelid. Through this incision any excess skin and fatty tissue will be removed.
For a lower eyelid cosmetic procedure, Dr. Miller often conceals an incision below your lower lashes. Through this incision, Dr. Miller removes any excess skin, muscle, and fat. In some cases, fat may be redistributed to eliminate puffiness and bulges.

When performing brow lift plastic surgery, Dr. Miller will either use the classic method or the endoscopic method to tighten your brow. Both procedures involve inconspicuous incisions in the hairline. Dr. Miller will then tighten your brow skin and remove any excess tissue that causes drooping. Many patients, both men and women, who come to Dr. Miller, find that their appearance can be greatly improved by enhancements to the chin through chin augmentation plastic surgery (genioplasty).
A recessive chin can make the mouth appear to turn down at the corners, which can create an “unhappy” look. Chin augmentation (implant) plastic surgery can be used to bring the chin to the proper proportions. Chin implants can sometimes improve the appearance of jowls and the hanging tissue in the neck. Ear Pinning
The term otoplasty refers to the reshaping or reforming or “pinning” of the ears. Most commonly, the procedure is performed to correct prominent ears by setting them back closer to the head. Each individual’s ears are different however, and otoplasty may refer to the correction of a number of different ear conditions. When performing otoplasty (ear pinning) plastic surgery, Dr. Miller will bring his skill, experience and training to performing this procedure for both children and adults.
For children, large and/or protruding ears can result in teasing or name-calling that can make adjustment to school difficult, sad or painful and reduce self-confidence as they enter adulthood. Fortunately, this is a problem that can be easily corrected once a child’s ears grow to their full size, usually between five and six years of age.
For children, pinning the ears is a common technique used during otoplasty to achieve the desired result. For adults, Dr. Miller may also reshape or reduce the size of the ears to help them appear symmetrical and streamlined with the contours of the face. Earlobes that have been torn or stretched can also be corrected.
